Learning from life

When I look behind, I realize that most of my satisfaction did not really come from the rewards given to me. It came from pouring all of myself into the activity that I did. The rewards were signposts of validation. 

Sometimes, it is important to look behind and down, while moving upward and onward, just to ensure that the stepping stones to success have not become caging obstacles.
